Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people with disabilities. The site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. This goes beyond the WCAG 2.0 level AA required by Ontario’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
What we did
- The whole site works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
- Pages use proper headings, landmarks and labels, so they work with screen readers (VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA).
- Text has a contrast of at least 4.5:1 with its background, and can be enlarged to 200% without losing content.
- Every meaningful image has a text alternative. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Animations stop if you set your device to reduce motion.
- The layout adapts to phones, tablets and desktops.
We do not use an accessibility “overlay” widget. Accessibility is built into the site itself.
Known limitations
- Game trailers, when added, will include a text description. Videos have no spoken dialogue.
